Grand jury recommends no charges against 7 Oklahoma City police officers who fatally shot a woman
A grand jury has recommended no charges be filed against seven Oklahoma City police officers who fatally shot a woman, the Oklahoma County district attorney’s office said Tuesday.
The grand jury reached its decision on Monday after investigating the Oct. 10 shooting death of Annette Prince, 77, in northwest Oklahoma City, according to a statement from the prosecutor’s office.

Police at the time said the officers were investigating a reported auto-pedestrian accident when they encountered Prince outside her crashed vehicle.
Police said Prince fired a gun several times and refused to drop the weapon, then pointed it at the officers who all opened fire, killing the woman.
The seven, Lt. William Robison and officers Brandon Cobb, Jonathan Espinosa Quinton Garner, Casey Brown, Daniel Young and Jacob Welton, were placed on administrative leave after the shooting.
A police spokesperson did not immediately return a phone call Tuesday for comment on whether the officers were back on duty.
Police later learned that Prince was earlier riding in the crashed vehicle that was driven by a woman she knew when she shot the acquaintance twice.
The driver then jumped out of the vehicle with Prince moving to the driver’s seat and driving over the woman, who was seriously injured, but survived, according to the prosecutor’s news release.
Prince then drove away before crashing the vehicle at the location where she was encountered by the officers.
A motive for the shootings was not released and a spokesperson for the district attorney did not immediately return a phone call for comment.
