Test - India fired missiles into Pakistani-controlled territory in several locations early Wednesday, killing at least 26 people including a child, in what Pakistan’s leader called an act of war.

India said it struck infrastructure used by militants linked to last month’s massacre of tourists in the Indian-controlled portion of Kashmir.

An Israeli strike on Tuesday hit a school-turned shelter in central Gaza Strip, killing 18 people, including four children, according to Palestinian health officials. Khalil al-Dokran, a spokesperson for the al-Aqsa Hospital in Deir al-Balah, told the Associated Press that more than 70 people were injured in the strike. A man with a knife slashed two people waiting for a train at a Tokyo subway station during the evening rush on Wednesday, Japanese media reported. The injuries that the passengers sustained were not believed to be life-threatening, they added.
